Ocean Maya Royale, Riviera Maya

Weve been to a few all-inclusive resorts and this place takes the cake! The staff is friendly and amazing, they seem like they love their jobs. Everyones always happy and they remember your name/face. Although I would like to acknowledge everyone by name (because they all deserve it), my memory doesnt allow me to remember all the names. All our hotel waitstaff were super friendly and accommodating! Alejandro at the Tepiniyaki restaurant was awesome and the restaurant accommodated to our dietary restrictions. The staff at the sports bar were phenomenal, the place was open till 6am and they all serve you with efficiency. Our entertainment staff was outstanding, Viri, Kendall, Moses are the ones that stood out a bit more. Everyone from the housekeeping to restaurants to buffet to entertainment, they all made a huge difference in our stay! We would definitely be recommending this place to everyone!

The best all girls trip! We had so many activities all day for a short 4 day trip. The resort has the best food, best staff, best itinerary, best customer service, best bar drinks!! We have been to Antigua, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican, and probably a few more all inclusive that we can't think of and I can't tell what it is but something made this the best trip ever! We loved Dali who was there at the massage class and mojito class, Kendall was so energetic! Best vibes We started every morning with a yoga class at 9am. The best way to start our day. Spanish lessons, pool games, lagoon swims it was all amazing! Viri, Kendall, Moses, each and every server at each restaurant and buffet were perfect! Please give them all a raise because I need them to be so happy so that they are happy at the resort and keep making it the best vacation ever! P.s for the girlies bring conditioner because they have a 2in1 shampoo/conditioner. Bring bug spray for night events at the beach. Lots of sun screen!

It is a beautiful hotel - cannot fault the room and service. The food was nice but pretty standard all- Inclusive style in terms of quality. The smell in the area of the seaweed was sometimes very strong but not the hotels fault! Just something to consider in terms of what time of year to visit. Buy sun cream before you come - the prices at the resort shop were extortionate! Otherwise, a great place to stay, especially for the price we paid.

Ocean Maya Royale is 5 stars for sure and if I could give it 6 stars I would. The over all feel of the resort is relaxing and easy going. We loved the lush gardens throughout the resort and cleanliness of the property. The resort is small enough to walk in 5 min and easy to navigate. We never felt crowded at OMR. The resort holds about 650 guest and during our stay occupancy was at about 550. It was fun to see some local wild life up close as the resort has Monkeys (in the front trees by the entrance), Coatis (Raccoon type in Central America) and Iguanas all over the resort. Highlights: Spectacular Staff!! We so enjoyed the entertainment staff, headed up by Kendall. He has the personality to make everyone feel included and welcome. On the first day he walked up and introduced himself. He remembered my name during our stay and just made us feel welcome. Margarita was wonderful to work with for planning our excursions. Would highly recommend swimming with Whale Sharks. She can help you with that! Is Privilege worth it? YES! My husband and I loved the Privilege level of service. Shout out to our Amazing Butler Allien!! He made all of our dinner reservations for us. He organized early morning breakfast to be delivered to our room when we had an excursion to leave for before breakfast was open. He did a special flower heart on our bed the night of our anniversary. He cleaned and filled our garden hot tub any night we wanted it. We had the best seats and times at all of the restaurants. At the buffet Privilege guests have their own private dining room with A/C and it is extra quiet for conversation. We enjoyed this very much. Our favorite restaurant for lunch and dinner was the Privilege Restaurant (Steak house). The food was so good and again this was a nicely air conditioned area with a beautiful ocean view. We enjoyed the Privilege sun chairs on the beach and at the quiet pool. With Privilege you can also order from a menu and have food delivered right to your sun chair. No need to leave the pool or beach for lunch. We could talk with Allien our butler through WhatsApp and anything we needed he took care of. I would highly recommend Privilege as it will give you full access to all amenities. When you book I suggest you request Allien for your butler he will work tirelessly to serve you. My husband and I also enjoyed talking and learning about Allien's life and he is such a kind and driven individual. 5 Food was delicious 5 Staff was friendly 5 Resort was clean 5 Plenty of entertainment and activities 5 Felt safe on resort 5 Bar staff made great drinks (not watered down) **Last thing I want to say is how hard the resort worked to clear the beaches from the large amount of seaweed this summer. Because of their hard work we were able to spend the last day of our trip on the beach and enjoyed the ocean. Looking down the beach you could see that Ocean Maya Royale was the only resort near by working each day to remove the seaweed. We greatly appreciated their efforts!! I plan to return to Ocean Maya Royale very soon for a girls trip!!
